This is a series of Geocoins commemorating the Civil War. Twenty major engagements will be represented, the first ten coins are presented on the following pages.
1000 coins will be minted and they are trackable on geocaching.com with their own, unique icon per coin. 100 of the coins will be minted in an Misty Gold Limited Edition finish, 750 coins will be minted in a Pewter Regular Edition and 50 coins will be in a special Shiny Gold in a Special Edition. The front of each coin will be in 3D with the back in 3D plus 4 colors, the backs of each coin will be the same.
As each edition is minted, a geocache will be established near the site of the engagement depicted and coins will be placed in these caches randomly by a local cacher, 50 coins of each edition will be distributed in this way.
